The 10th All-Russian Congress of Young Scientists Council that brought together almost 800 participants from 76 regions of Russia was finalized in Moscow.
The event was attended by the representatives of scientific student societies, the finalists in the “Science” specialisation of the “Leaders of Russia” competition for managers and young scientists – the winners of grant competitions. An important part of the congress programme included the awarding ceremony for the winners of the first All-Russian competition of scientific student societies, the results of which had been summed up in April 2022.
The total 244 applications had been submitted, of which 40 were selected. 100 million roubles grants were distributed among the winning universities, which can be used to organise events and academic mobility, conduct advanced training for the societies members as well as science popularisation.
Among the competition winners was BelSU Scientific Student Society represented at the congress by its chair Dilara Mamedova, a Master student of the Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations. Alexey Medvedev, the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, presented diplomas to the winners.
“We discussed how and in what way science should be developing in Russia, shared our experience in organizing work with students and doctoral students, told about our projects, including those that we had submitted for the first All-Russian Competition of Scientific Student Societies”, said Dilara.
