Scientific journals of Belgorod State University included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) database

Belgorod State University continue to strengthen its position in the scientific community: in June 2022 two scientific journals were indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) database. Among highly evaluated by the experts were “Scientific Results of Biomedical Research” Journal (edited by Mikhail Churnosov, the Head of the Department of Biomedical Disciplines) and “Research Results in Pharmacology” Journal (edited by Mikhail Pokrovsky, the Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology).

Based on the formal and bibliometric indicators, public review by the leading Russian scientists and analysis for negative publishing history, the decision to include BelSU journals in the RSCI database was made by the Subject Board and the Working Group on Publication Evaluation and Selection of the Russian Science Citation Index. As a result of the analysis of 50 bibliometric indicators and statistical reports for the last five years, only 59 journals have been included in the RSCI this year.

According to Stanislav Sivakov, the Director of the Department of Scientific Communication and Publishing, BelSU scientific journals have been indexed in the RSCI database for the first time.

Earlier, the “Research Results in Pharmacology” journal was assigned the Q3 Scopus; the Q2 rating was given to the “Scientific Results of Biomedical Research” journal.
