The results of the intra-university grant competition providing support to the launch and development of youth research and innovation creativity studios have been announced.
The competition commission chaired by Nikolay Repnikov, the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, announced the results of the intra-university grant competition providing support to the launch and development of youth research and innovation creativity studios. 12 applications in various directions participated in the competition. According to the results of the expert examination, the “Lekar” studio of Medical Institute with the project “Baropodometric Carpet” became the winner and the grant holder of 100,000 rubles. The second place was taken by the “Avangard” studio of the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology presenting the “Development of a Database of Native Microorganisms with Biotechnological Potential for Agriculture” project: the grant amounted to 90,000 rubles. The top three included the “Biomolecule” studio of the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology. It was allocated the grant of 80,000 rubles to implement the “Development of an Enzyme Preparation Based on Cellulolytic Bacteria” project. Four more studios were supported by grants of 30 to 70 thousand rubles.
According to Yaroslava Pavlyuk, the Head of BelSU Department of Students and Young Scientists Research and Innovative Work, each of the presented projects is unique and meets to the current scientific and innovative agenda of the country's development.
The competition was held as part of the a federal grant program for higher education institutions aimed at supporting student scientific communities (Agreement No. 075-15-2022-1059), as well as the “Development of Youth Ecosystem of High-Tech Innovations and Technological Entrepreneurship” project of the Prioritet-2030 program.
