Belgorod State University joined the All-Russian “Kaplya Zhizni” campaign

The representatives of all BelSU institutes and colleges including students, lecturers, staff and tutors of foreign student communities, as well as international students from China, Egypt, Colombia, Ecuador, and Uzbekistan joined the event.

The participants in the campaign, which was held at the University's Student Centre for Civic and Patriotic Education, learned of the terrorist attack at Beslan School No.1 in early September 2004. Several hundred people were killed, most of them were children. For three days, the hostages were held captive, unable to drink a drop of water.

“Through the “Kaplya Zhizni” (A Drop of Life) campaign we appeal to people to remember all the victims of terrorism and fallen law enforcement officers, and to symbolically give a drink to all those who are no longer with us”, said Inna Kuznetsova, the Director of the Student Centre for Civic and Patriotic Education.

Young people were invited to take water from the bowl to water the flowers, thus symbolically sharing water with those who are no longer with us.
