Over 3,000 participants from 20 countries were involved in the large-scale event in the field of street culture and sports.
The opening of “KARDO” International Award Competition of street culture and sports, celebrating its fifth anniversary, was held at the Belgorod Arena. Vyacheslav Gladkov, the Governor of Belgorod region, addressed the participants and guests with a welcoming speech.
“I am glad that our young people have the opportunity to communicate with people who are close in spirit. We want our youth to develop and be leaders in all directions, including in street culture”, Vyacheslav Gladkov emphasized.
Among the spectators and organizers of the large–scale youth event there were BelSU students, representing the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology, the Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations, the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technologies, Pedagogical Institute and Medical College. The Arab students from Palestine, Jordan, Iraq and Morocco participated as interpreters at the forum, providing simultaneous and consecutive translation for a group of participants from Iraq.
“Our volunteers accompanied the group throughout the entire period at all the forum venues, as well as introduced the city. Both the event guests and the organizers were very pappy”, said Elena Nazarenko, the curator of the Arab Student Community of Belgorod State University.
The festival program, including demonstrations, contests, alternative venues, photo locations and parties, lasted till 11th September.
