The successful implementation of the project on development of occupational safety management system at BelSU, based on the “Vision Zero” international standard, was widely approved by the conference participants in St. Petersburg.
Belgorod State University was represented at the All-Russian Conference “Occupational Safety in Organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia”, held at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, by Olga Veselova, the Director of BelSU Center for Occupational Safety and Ecology and Valery Timofeev, the Chairman of BelSU Trade Union.
The participants were not just involved in the work of the sections, but also shared their experience in building the occupational safety management system at Belgorod State University. Valery Timofeev made a report on the “Joint Work of Trade Union and the Occupational Safety Department at the University”. The project on “Development of Occupational Safety Management System at BelSU”, based on the “Vision Zero” international standard, was highly evaluated by Nikolay Tsumerov, the Deputy Director of the Personnel Policy Department of the Ministry of Education and Science.
The conference participants joined the work of the sections “Legal Regulation of Occupational Safety: Practical Aspects for Scientific Organizations and Higher Education Institutions”, “Ensuring Labour Safety in Scientific Organizations and Higher Education Institutions” and “Topical Issues of Compliance with Occupational Safety Requirements for Employees and Students”. Certain proposals to address topical issues of occupational safety were made to the relevant ministries at the section on “Implementing and Ensuring Occupational Safety Requirements in Scientific Organizations and Higher Education Institutions”.
