During the autumn project session at Belgorod State University the scientific, educational and administrative divisions of the university submitted 29 project ideas, including 27 ideas under the “Prioritet-2030” Programme.
8 project initiatives applied under the “Science of the 21st Century” Platform of the “Prioritet-2030” Programme. They covered such topics as import substitution, prevention of environmental depletion, research on the casting properties of advanced materials, synthesis of advanced materials for low and medium temperature thermoelectric generators, and development of renewable energy technologies.
According to Nikolay Repnikov, BelSU Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, the presented projects were largely knowledge-intensive and application-oriented, focused on developing new products and technologies in collaboration with industrial partners.
The project portfolio of the “Leaders of the Future” Platform included five project ideas aimed at developing entrepreneurial competencies among university students and staff by launching start-ups, establishing an interregional platform at BelSU aimed at developing soft skills of the citizens in lean management, and an educational platform for creating a pool of young scientists in molecular biology and medical genetics with complementary competencies.
14 projects were submitted to be included in the “University without Borders” Platform, focused on solving problems caused by the foreign policy and ensuring socio-cultural development of the Belgorod region in the current situation.
Besides, 2 project ideas aimed at improving the internal university procedures were considered during the project session.
