Belgorod State University's best practices in creating a health protection ecosystem were presented at the All-Russian Forum “The State Code of Modern Inclusion”.
The forum was organised by the Moscow State University of Humanities and Economics (MSUHEU), which created an open platform to discuss tools for creating a modern, effective integration ecosystem that empowers all its members.
The Forum brought together not only universities representatives, but also government agencies, various ministries and departments, NGOs, the representatives of the banking sector, and scientific and business communities.
Belgorod State University was represented by Tatiana Nikulina, the Director of Social Policy Department. Tatiana Nikulina made a presentation describing the university's health protection ecosystem model aimed at social engagement and adaptation of students with disabilities.
In the current academic year, 218 students with disabilities are educated at Belgorod State University. The ecosystem allows applying certain services, among which are career guidance counseling (including employment), architectural accessibility, adaptation of education, socio-psychological support, socio-cultural adaptation. Over 43,000,000 roubles were allocated from the university budget to implement those services.
The established ecosystem of health protection at Belgorod State University expands the opportunities for socializing, adaptation, and rehabilitation of people with disabilities, promotes integration of students with disabilities into modern society, and helps them to become in-demand specialists.
