The publication is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of BelSU History Museum and the Year of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia.
The album of paintings by Yuliy Fedders and Alexander Krylov “Two Academicians. Belgorod and its Suburbs” became the culmination of the unique exhibition project “Two Academy Members”, which was organised by BelSU History Museum. The exhibition was prepared in cooperation with “Izborsk” State Historical-Architectural and Natural Museum-Reserve in the context of the project “The Historical Heritage of Belgorod State University” implemented under the “Prioritet-2030” Program.
The painting album contains works by an Academy member Julius Fedders, who painted during his residence in Belgorod. He was the first teacher of drawing and drafting at Belgorod Teachers' Training Institute and he taught students for 10 years (since 1876).
The album also presents the works of our contemporary artist, an Academy member Alexander Krylov, who preserved the historical and cultural heritage of our region in his works made in the period of 2021-2022.
The publication was prepared by Irina Denisova, the Director of BelSU History Museum, and Vladimir Melnikov, an academic secretary of “Izborsk” State Historical-Architectural and Natural Museum-Reserve.
