Three representatives of Belgorod State University join the Community Council for Youth Affairs

The Community Council at the Ministry of Youth Affairs of Belgorod Region includes Elena Tsukanova, the Vice-Rector for Discipline and Youth Policy of Belgorod State University, Inna Shapovalova, the Head of the Department of Sociology and Work with Youth of the Institute of Social Sciences and Mass Communications and Viktor Zakharov, the Director of the Institute of Economics and Management. Viktor Zakharov was also elected the Chairman of the Council.

The main function of the advisory body consists in establishing links between the authorities and the civil society. During the year the Council members will discuss new plans and projects, review the development directions of the youth policy. According to the adopted schedule, the sittings of the youth council will be held every quarter.

At the first sitting Tatyana Kireeva, the Belgorod Region Minister of Youth Affairs outlined the main directions of the youth policy in the region in 2023. She underlined that special focus would be made on patriotic education, volunteerism, promotion of healthy lifestyle and student government. Doctor of Sociology Inna Shapovalova presented the results of sociological survey of the youth people, its key results and indicators for 2022.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Youth Affairs of Belgorod Region is an active participant of the strategic project consortium “University without Borders” implemented under the “Prioritet-2030” academic leadership program. The ministry has been involved in the implementation of over 20 projects.
