Rincon Quintero Edgar Giovanni, a journalism graduate of BelSU, became the fifth university’s graduate joining BelSU Ambassadors Corps.
Giovanni arrived to Belgorod to accompany a group of 40 Colombian students enrolled to Preparatory Department of the university.
At the meeting with Professor Oleg Polukhin, the Rector, and Vladislav Kuchmisty, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, the Ambassador Rincon Quintero Edgar Giovanni expressed his gratitude for entrusting such a responsible mission to be the official representative of Belgorod State University in his native country.
Giovanni graduated Preparatory Department in 2025 and later the Faculty of Journalism in 2011. The young man is currently working as a media manager in Bogota, the capital of Colombia.
The Rector thanked the BelSU graduate for his initiative and dedication to the university. The new university’s ambassador will be engaged in establishing cooperation between Colombia and Russia, promoting the university’s brand in his country and recruiting Colombian students to BelSU.
While addressing the students of Belgorod Preparatory Department from Colombia, the Ambassador underlined that Belgorod State University provided an opportunity both to study and to make friends with the representatives of different countries.
Today 138 students from Colombia study in Belgorod State University, mostly at Preparatory Department (54 citizens), at Medical Institute (41 students) and the Institute of Economics and Management (18 students). Most of them decided to come to study at Belgorod State University thanks to Giovanni.
It should be reminded that today the BelSU Ambassador to the Republic of Ecuador is Munoz Andrade Luis Fernando, to the People's Republic of China – Zhao Pengbo, to the Republic of Uzbekistan – Dilnoz Ruzieva, and to the Republic of Angola – Kete Carlos Jorge.
