A delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in the Russian Federation came to Belgorod State University on a working visit.
Vladislav Kuchmisty, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and the representatives of BelSU International Cooperation Department met with Mrs. Lesley Akyaa Opoku Ware, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ghana to the Russian Federation, Herbert Eddy-Netti, the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the Russian Federation, Abiel Ashitey Arma, the Head of the Office, Leonard Amartey Telfer, the First Secretary and the Head of Consular and Education Departments, Jacob Kwao Arkhin, the First Secretary (Protocol).
21 students from the Republic of Ghana currently study medicine, pharmacy, economics and geography at BelSU. During the negotiations the representatives of both sides discussed issues related to their studies and living conditions in Belgorod.
The Embassy representatives noted the necessity of organizing continuous language adaptation of the students since studying Russian is one of the most important prerequisites for high quality education in the university.
Vladislav Kuchmisty, the Vice-Rector of Belgorod State University, spoke on organisation of the international students teaching, including additional Russian language classes. He underlined, that students from Ghana, along with other international students, could address their questions to the university's International Information Centre, providing comprehensive support to students in Russian, English, Spanish, French and Chinese languages.
