25 new educational spaces will open at Belgorod State University in 2023

In 2023 the University is planning to launch 25 new educational spaces, including 8 spaces postponed from 2022 due to the changes in the repair work schedule. At the same time, Aleksandr Nemtsev, the Director of BelSU Department for Educational Policy noted that the list of 19 name-bearing and thematic classrooms planned to be opened this year had been approved by the University’s Academic Board on 27^th February.

Thus, the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technology will open educational spaces “Engineering Special Forces”, “Information Mechatronics and Robotics”, “Cybersecurity”, as well as the institute's history museum. The “Advanced Research Area” and “School Department of the Institute of Earth Sciences” will open their doors at the Institute of Earth Sciences. The Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations will welcome its visitors at the “Centre for Slavic Studies” and a cultural and educational co-working space “Foreign Languages Studied Here”. The educational space “Primus Inter Pares” (First among Equals) will appear at the Institute of Law, and the Institute of Economics and Management will create “Situation Centre for Managerial Decisions”, “Soft Skills Studio”, “Studio for Development of Innovative Projects in Tourism”, etc.

There are also plans to set up “Studio for Self-Recorded Educational Video Equipped with a Video-Editing Station”, being in great demand due to the distance learning format.

All in all, according to Aleksandr Nemtsev, it is planned to create 50 new educational spaces under the “Prioritet-2030” Programme. 24 spaces including “Nobel Living Room”, “Proyektoria” Project and Educational Centre, “Spiritual Classroom in the name of the Grand Duchess Yelizaveta Fyedorovna” were already opened in 2022.
