World Consumer Rights Protection Day celebrated at BelSU

According to Evgeny Tonkov, the Director of BelSU Law Institute of, consumer protection is one of the most important areas of the national legal policy, as we are all consumers in the broad sense.

An online meeting of BelSU law students and Olga Alexeeva, the Deputy Head of the Consumer Protection Department of Rospotrebnadzor for the Belgorod Region, was dedicated to discussing consumer protection issues in the region.

A legal interactive and quiz was also held at the Law Institute as part of World Consumer Rights Protection Day.

The legal clinic consultants and Maxim Zinkovsky, Associate Professor of Civil Law and Procedure Department, discussed a number of relevant issues, including the specifics of Internet shopping, warranty periods and return policies, as well as irrevocable non-food goods of good quality.

The participants used specific examples to illustrate how consumers can behave when their rights are violated.
