Belgorod State University maintain a dialogue with the perspective students

The guests of the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology were the final-year students of BelSU Medical College. While welcoming the perspective students, Professor Elena Zhilyakova, the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, spoke about wide employment opportunities for Pharmacy graduates.

The young people were given a fascinating tour of the Laboratory of Pharmacognosy, guided by Natalia Shestopalova, Assistant Professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology. The participants were introduced to the collections of medicinal plants herbaria and medicinal raw materials. Microslides of various medicinal plants, prepared by students as part of their academic and research activities, were also demonstrated to the visitors.

Associate Professor Natalya Avtina spoke about the specifics of a pharmacist's work in a compounding pharmacy. The students got acquainted with the main equipment, raw materials and materials which are used to make medicines in pharmacies.

A lecture by Associate Professor Daria Fadeeva was also of great interest to the audience. She told about the stages of research and forecasting potential drugs via information technologies.
