The winners of the first university competition of media activity were awarded at NRU BelSU

Summarizing the results of the first university contest of media activity took place on the eve of the Higher School Teacher's Day at the closing ceremony of the first media forum of the National Research University "BelSU".
As the acting rector of the National Research University "BelSU" Evgenia Karlovskaya noted that the example of media activity is set by our scientists and teachers, many of whom became speakers in the stories of the young participants of the Media Forum.
- These are the most quoted scientists in the media, who regularly act as experts and create content themselves. I thank my colleagues for understanding the importance of their presence in the media space! - emphasized Evgeniya Karlovskaya.
The winner in the category "The Most Media-Active Expert-Scientist" became the Head of the Department of Biomedical Disciplines of the Medical Institute of the National Research University "BelSU", Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Mikhail Churnosov. The second place in the same nomination was taken by Dr. Sergey Zherebtsov, Professor of the Department of Materials Science and Nanotechnology of the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technologies. The third degree diploma was awarded to Inna Solyanikova, Director of the Regional Microbiological Center, Doctor of Biological Sciences. Articles and stories about their discoveries and inventions were published on federal and regional information platforms. Thus, they contribute to the promotion of the NRU "BelGU" brand in the information space.

An important role in popularization of the NRU "BelGU" brand is played by scientists who are able to explain the most complex phenomena in an accessible way. Alexey Deikin, Director of the Joint Center of Genetic Technologies, became the winner in the nomination "The most media-active popularizer of BelSU". He is the absolute leader among his colleagues in terms of the number of citations in mass media. The second degree diploma in this nomination was awarded to Ivan Nikulin, Director of the Engineering Center of NRU BelGU. The winner of the third degree diploma became the head of the Department of Microbiology and Virology with a course of clinical immunology of the Medical Institute, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Ksenia Bocharova.
In the nomination "Medialider" the first degree diploma was awarded to the Pedagogical Institute, the second place to the Medical Institute, the third place to the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology. The achievements of scientists, graduates and students of these structural units were most of all published in both external and university publications and social media.
Within the framework of the media activity contest the nomination "For promotion of the NRU BELGU brand in the VKontakte social network" was established. The category "Institutes" evaluated the activity of representatives of structural units (likes, reposts, comments) in the official community of the university in the social network "VKontakte" and the number of mentions of Belgorod State University in the posts of the institute's publics. In this nomination the first two places were also won by the Pedagogical and Medical Institutes respectively, the third degree diploma was awarded to the Institute of Economics and Management.
In the nomination "For the promotion of the NRU BelGU brand in the social network VKontakte" in the category "Teachers and staff" the absolute leader became the specialist of the Department of pre-university training and organization of admission Arina Ulezko. The second degree diploma was awarded to Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Institute of Law Lyubov Pozharova, the third place was awarded to Anastasia Narozhnaya, Associate Professor of the Department of Nature Management and Land Cadastre of the Institute of Earth Sciences.
The most active subscribers of the university community in VKontakte in the "Students" category became:Anna Kuzovleva (1st place), a student of the Faculty of History and Philology of the Pedagogical Institute, Lyubov Kibalko (2nd place) and Maria Shulgina (3rd place), a master's student of Philosophy of the Institute of Social Sciences and Mass Communications.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the academic year the II Contest of media activity of NRU "BelGU" has started, which will be counted for the achievements of participants for the period from September 2023 to September 2024.
