The study showed that patients with metabolic syndrome are at risk for the development and presence of dysuria. According to few data 20.6% of citizens aged 30-69 suffer from metabolic. But if we analyze the results of medical examination of the population at the end of 2023, the numbers are certain to be much higher. Based on the results obtained, we can say that in 25 years the number of people suffering from metabolic syndrome will increase by 50%” – commented Sergei Shkodkin.
The study, which involved 115 men, showed that testosterone deficiency can contribute to the development of metabolic syndrome. An effective way to eliminate complications was the use of hormone replacement therapy.

For young scientists, especially for students, participants of the Urology Olympiad, it is a qualitative immersion in the specifics of the future profession. Here everyone can get answers to the most ambiguous questions not just from experienced practicing doctors, but, I’d go as far as saying, from big names of urology” – he commented.
