A project analysis session was held at BelSU to direct the ways of transformation for the University target model in accordance with the federal academic leadership program Priority 2030.
A project-analysis session (PAS) was held with participation of the representatives of the Rector’s Office, the Project Office, heads of institutes and other structural divisions of the University. Commencing the session, Evgeniya Karlovskaya, the Rector of Belgorod State University, shared her expectations from the event which consequently resulted in participants’ analysis of the outcomes obtained within the framework of the Priority 2030 program and outlining new vectors for BelSU’s advancement.
‘Development is a continuous process that requires constant self-assessment, and search for new and more effective solutions. I propose to dedicate the project- analysis session to that,’ emphasized Evgeniya Karlovskaya.
The Vice-Rector for the implementation of strategic development programs Elena Skripnikova presented the university’s target model, giving a detailed account of the key metrics: all-Russia and international rankings, market penetration, scientific recognition, and infrastructure and education development. The Vice-Rector for educational activities Alexey Chernitsov outlined the results of the educational policy. He underlined that at least 25 % of the university’s students should be involved in research work. The Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Tatyana Reznichenko noted that R&D activities for the region and the country, accelerated commercialization, developed technological entrepreneurship ecosystem, and involvement of young people in the named processes form the leading indicators of achieving the target model. The session also set the tasks within the framework of the three Priority 2030 platforms: Science of the 21st Century, Leaders of the Future, and University Without Borders. The moderator of the PAS was Svetlana Gaivoronskaya, the Head of the Project Office. The session’s work was carried out in six groups: educational policy, innovation policy, and others. The participants analysed the educational and innovation policies of the University, assessed the three strategic projects: Science of the 21st Century, Leaders of the Future and University without Borders, and also clarified the role of pass-through processes in the transformation of the university. Summing up, Evgeniya Karlovskaya drew attention to the fact that many projects at the University have undergone changes. At the final stage of plenary session, the participants not only outlined the tasks, but also mapped the ways to complete them. They are getting the University closer to its target model which was also presented at the session through the interpretations of its participants.
