Launched by the governor, the New Opportunities 6.0 Project aims to support residents of the Belgorod region who are eager to bring their business ideas to life.
Fourth-year student Valeria Pelageychenko from the BelSU Pedagogical Institute has emerged as the winner of the business ideas competition within this initiative. Through her participation in the governor’s project, Valeria showcased not only her entrepreneurial spirit but also her exceptional strategic thinking skills.
For the competition, Valeria presented her project for a foreign language school called “Smarty,” which she plans to establish in Severny, an urban-type settlement in the Belgorod district. Valeria revealed that her participation in the competition was somewhat serendipitous; she initially sought to expand her knowledge of marketing and delve into the intricacies of the education business. After two months of intensive training, the competition allowed Valeria to present her project to the jury, highlighting its relevance, novelty, and methodology. Participants were paired with mentors who guided them in meeting deadlines and refining their ideas.
‘Unfortunately, there were no other participants from our university. However, many students are now reaching out to me, eager to learn how they can participate and succeed in the competition. I’m confident they will,’ Valeria shared.
As a reward for her achievement, Valeria received 500,000 roubles to help implement her idea. The certificate of victory was presented to her by Vyacheslav Gladkov, the Governor of the Belgorod Region.
