A graduate of Belgorod State University’s Medical Institute recently took part in the Arctic – Regions International Forum, which brought together young leaders, researchers, government officials, and NGOs.
The focus of the conference was on sustainable development in the Arctic region and the expansion of international and interregional cooperation. As part of the annual “Arctic – Regions” Forum held in Arkhangelsk, a special international youth project laboratory was launched under the BRICS initiative titled “Youth – Ambassadors of the Arctic.” Participants engaged in discussions on various topics, including environmental certification, promoting products with Arctic identity, developing tourism and cultural diplomacy, establishing multifunctional centers for foreign students, and providing institutional support for youth initiatives in Arctic regions.
The Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region, Alexander Tsybulsky, welcomed the participants with an inspiring speech.
“This project, developed in just a few days, is one of the most comprehensive I have ever encountered at such platforms. It’s not merely a project; it’s a mini-strategy. I particularly appreciated the idea of labeling local goods with 'Made in the Arctic'—a fantastic initiative for promoting our products,” commented Tsybulsky.
Mohamed Abdelazim Gaballa Ibrahim Saleh participated as part of an international team focused on developing proposals for sustainable cooperation among youth from BRICS countries. Drawing on the experience of National Research University “BelSU” alongside foreign students, they presented a case study highlighting an effective and human-centered support system.
“The Arctic – Regions Forum provided a genuine space for partnership. I am pleased to have shared my experiences. This is not just participation; it’s a contribution to creating an environment where every student feels protected and heard,” remarked Mohamed.
